Zeeland button necklaces: a timeless classic

The Zeeland button necklaces are made of gold, silver, pearls, porcelain and other gemstones. The silver I use is first grade silver, and the gold is 14 carat. The freshwater pearls are of high quality and are knotted into a string in the traditional way. These necklaces are not only a tribute to the rich Zeeland tradition, but also to my grandmother who taught me the intricacies of needlework. My Swarovski necklaces are all handmade. Made from Swarovski crystals, nylon thread and silver, these necklaces are crocheted with a very fine crochet hook and a thin nylon thread.
